About the course
Good Park Golf Course, known locally as "The Park," is a historic 18-hole municipal course in West Akron. Designed in 1924 by Bertie Way — architect of Firestone South — it opened the following year and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025. Spread across 180 acres of mature, tree-lined fairways and well-placed bunkers, it rewards accuracy over distance. Good Park remains one of Akron's most cherished tests for public golfers.
